Description:
Intended for use with the "Bird's Head" gripped Webley series Mk III Revolvers in .455 Caliber, these also fitted the Webley Mk IV and MK V Revolvers and were in use right up into the first World War. This holster is in very good to excellent original condition with supple leather, tight stitching, great hardware and great mottled leather patina. These open top holsters were generally issued to other ranks who were required to carry a pistol in their duties, such as the Machine Gun Corps, some artilleryman, dispatch riders etc. This type of holster was also used by the RFC. Apparently the Smith and Wesson and Colt New Service, also issued by the British during WW1, will also fit this holster.;
