Description:
This is a seldom-seen full box, 20 original rounds, of .44-60 ammunition manufactured by Winchester with a call out "For Remington Rifle" manufactured in the 1880's (see Giles & Shuey p106). The 2 piece, buff box with green label and black print has solid side corners and an easily repairable bottom that has neatly separated which is common for these heavy calibers with very light age soiling and rubbing to edges. The cartridges are excellent with paper patch bullets.
