Description:
General Specs: Parker, Year 1932, 20 Gauge, 6lbs. 2oz., Chokes IC/M, LOP 14 5/16", DAH 2 5/8", DAC 1 7/16"
Serial Number: 236149
The Parker is the most noted vintage American double gun and has more fans than all of the other major makers.  They are wonderful guns with a classic look with about 250,000 guns produced.  When looking for a lightweight Parker for upland birds or a casual day on the sporting clays course you will see the Parker VH 20ga. offered for sale often, so they are not rare guns.  In fact, they made about 10,000 of them.  So, how do you know which one to buy.  Most all you see have been altered, or worn thin of finish from hard use, stocks cut or replaced with aftermarket wood, screws buggered, etc.  It is rare to find a VH 20 gauge in HIGH FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION.  THOSE are the guns that are the most sought after, that will gain in value the most, and bring the most pride of ownership for the new owner.  This Parker, sn236149 made in 1932, is one that retains most all its factory original condition.  It is unmolested in any way, with 75% vivid factory case color, 99% dark factory blue, perfect screws, mirror bores, and a stock that is factory original and unaltered ending in the factory dog’s head butt plate.  The trigger guard blue has flaked, a common occurrence with Parker guns (we can have the trigger guard charcoal blued by Turnbull Restorations if the new owner chooses, and get it done quickly).  The wood has excellent checkering, nary a split or crack anywhere, and great shooting dimensions still retaining its original factory finish.  With the 28" barrels choked IC/M, weighing 6lbs. 2oz. and balanced dead on the hinge pin, it is the perfect upland gun that can also knock down some clay targets when asked to do so.  The barrels are tight on the hinge pin and breech face and have tight ribs.  The chambers 2 ¾” from the factory, so no worries about where to find ammunition.  Search the internet and you will be hard-pressed to find any Parker VH in this nice of condition and with all these most desirable features; ie great stock dimensions, butt plate gun, 28” barrels choked IC/M, 2 ¾” chambers, 6lbs. + and balanced on the hinge pin, and a fabulous looking Parker.  This is an investment quality Parker and will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use  You will not be disappointed in this gun, and it is affordably priced.  Thanks for looking!

Common requests are: -stock bending to suit your particular requirements -addition of any specified butt pad to increase length of pull -alteration of chokes to suit your shooting preferences -lengthening of chambers and forcing cones -darkening stock color with penetrating stains -restoring any part of the gun including rust blue, charcoal blue, bone and charcoal case color, wood restoration and checkering recuts. If you like one our guns but it needs "tweaked", let us know and we can quote you a time and price. Some enthusiasts like the guns "as found" and others want them "just so".
