We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The BFR is one of the strongest and most powerful single-action revolvers made today. The acronym “BFR” stands for “Biggest Finest Revolver” though many tend to reinterpret what the letter “F” stands for. The revolver borrows its design from the famous Colt Peacemaker and essentially features buffed up dimensions and stainless steel construction for greater strength. This example is the long cylinder model, chambered for the legendary .30-30, originally invented in 1895 for use in the Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle. It was developed from the .38-55 cartridge by necking down the cartridge from a .379-inch bullet to one with a diameter of .308 inches. This of course meant the .30-30 was a bottle-neck cartridge, unlike its parent which was a straight-wall type. It was also the first commercial hunting round which utilized smokeless powder. The BFR in .30-30 uses an unfluted 6-shot cylinder for reasons of strength. The pistol is brand new in the box. It has a 10” long round barrel and classic Peacemaker-style grip frame as opposed to the Bisley-style grip. The grips are thick rubber designed to help tame the recoil. As a revolver, the BFR does not necessarily have to be fired using full-powered .30-30 loads intended for use in rifles. For the close distances that the BFR would likely be fired to, lower power loads would be more comfortable to shoot while remaining effective.
