Description:
This double action revolver is a Colt D.A. 45. The front sight is a tall Patridge style blade, the rear sight is a "U" shaped groove in the top of the receiver. It has a 5½ inch barrel, a textured ejector knob, and a smooth curved double action trigger. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" is marked on the underside of barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT D.A. 45". The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT U.S.A. / PAT'D AUG. 5, 1884 JUNE 5, 1900 JULY 4, 1905.-". The crane and crane cut are each marked with the serial number "327725". The left side of the frame has a faded Rampant Colt. The left side of the frame above the trigger guard is marked with the letter "S" and an upside down triangle proof mark. The grip panels are a textured dark brown composite with gold rampant Colt emblems. The metal finish shows a great patina. The Grips are in very good condition, with no visible cracks or scratches, but with a 1mm sized chip at the rear base of the right grip panel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling intact. .45 Colt
