Synopsis: Desirable DWM, 1908 Military Luger, Regimental Markings, Rig, 1206a, FB00860 Description: Scarce 1908 Military Luger with regimental markings on front strap, added hold open, with 1920 property marking on chamber, complete with two forced matched magazines, correct takedown tool, in converted 1914 dated holster. Standard configuration with 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and a fixed “V” notch rear sight. “1920” property marking over chamber and “DWM” over front toggel link. Full serial number on forward frame, under barrel and left side of barrel extention with last two digits “06” on all usual small parts except sideplate that has been overstamped on the left side, bottom edge marked “65”. Frontstrap with regimental markings: 11./J.R.21.6. The numbers 11.6. on rear frame. Magazines both numbered 1206 with different sized numerals and fonts, the magazine with smaller digits having been repurposed from an Eurfurt. Takedown tool marked “7.30.” Repurposed holster manufacturer marked on front face with inked stampings including the year 1914 under flap. Condition: VG original finish with sharp edge/holster wear/grip strap fading as one might expect from a pistol that has seen extended service use, later reworked to have the hold open installed and subsequently property marked. Strawed parts with no suggestion of touch up. Grips with dark oil staining and considerable blunting in keeping with balance of pistol. VG+ magazines with renumbered and cracked plugs as imaged. Holster with supple leather, one of the belt loops with supplemental stitching. Bright bore with light erosion in grooves. Correct manual mechanics. The hold open engaging with each of the magazines.
