A factory letter accompanies this first-year special ordered Model 48 confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on January 22, 1960 to the Treat Hardware Co, in Lawrence, Massachusetts as a single gun shipment. Equipped with an 8 3/8" barrel, original extra-bright blue finish, red ramp front sight, target hammer, target trigger, white outline rear sight and deluxe smooth presentation Goncalo Alves target stocks. A fabulous example of a rarely seen special ordered model, complete with a period box matching the configuration. The gun retains 99% of the original bright blue finish and is mint from end to end. A serious K-frame for the serious collector. The finest and coolest Model 48 No Dash we have ever encountered.
