Description:
This is a custom Mauser 98 Mannlicher Carbine with 19" Barrel in the Wildcat .411 Bear Swamp caliber. It was made about 40 years ago by renowned Master Gunsmith Robert Snapp who was President of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild in 1992. The design and workmanship are exquisite. The Mannlicher stock is American black walnut that is by another Guild member Chuck Grace. The caliber is a made from .378 Weatherby brass that is shortened and expanded to take the .411 Bullet. Lots of bullets, brass, completed ammo and RCBS loading dies etc. come with the gun. The action is smoothed and polished inside and out. Quarter rib with folding express sights. Comes with the Ziess scope and quick disconnect mounts as shown. It has been fired by the owner and also recently test fired by my gunsmith. A very beautiful Mannlicher Carbine that cost $8,000 to build years ago.. I am Oregon Lumberjack on the other big site with 1000's of positive feedbacks.
