NSN, made in 1851, .31 caliber, 4"" round barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a smooth grey patina. Top strap is marked ""Springfield Arms Co."", right side is marked ""Warner's Patent/Jan 1851"". Bore is very good with strong rifling visible. Two piece walnut grips show light handling wear, no cracks noted. Action functions correctly. Only about 100 of this model were made. Consignment.
