Description:
Serial #518949, .22 Long, 24" octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves at the muzzle. This is a 1914-made rifle that has retained about 75-80% of the original blue finish, with the majority of the loss occurring on the top of the bolt and on the right side of the frame. The barrel exhibits gray fading along the edges of the barrel facets, and some areas of mild freckling and mottled fading along the magazine tube. The bolt has a mottled gray-brown patina that carries over onto the right side of the receiver. A previous owner has scratched their initials into the metal on both sides: "ELP." The forend and buttstock are in very good-fine shape with only some minor handling marks in the original varnish. This is a very nice example of a Third Model 1890, and is in very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
