This Harrington & Richardson (H&R) SB2 Ultra, break-action rifle features a nicely figured laminated wood stock with nice checkering and in near perfect condition. All metal is nicely blued in good condition. The 26” barrel has been threaded and a JP Tactical Muzzle Break installed. I used a bore light and the bore looks shiny & sharp. Also installed on the barrel is the factory rail and the Nikon ProStaff 5 scope with extended sun shield.
This H&R SB2 Ultra is chambered in 25-06 Rem. The 25-06 is often cited as one of the most versatile all-round rifle cartridges, capable for varmint to deer. This is possible because the .25-06 round is available in many different grain size projectiles. If your quarry for the day requires a smaller round, you have the option of going as small as 75 grains. But, if you’re planning on feeding your family for the long months ahead, the deep penetrating 120 grain rounds are perfect for putting deer down with your single-shot. The other factor is that the 25-06, tends to be very accurate because it flies flatter than many of the other cartridges on the market. This equates to tack driving accuracy at distances up to, and further than, 300 yards. Which is why the scope on this rifle is perfect!
