US Model 1868 Springfield 50-70 caliber Trapdoor Army rifle dated 1869. The properly marked lock and breach functionn fine. The full 2 band dark walnut stock shows numerous dents, dings and heavy military use. The full length barrel has both front and rear sights. The metal has a brown patina with scattered pitting. The serial number match's the 1869 date on the breach block and appears correct. The gun is complete with sling swivels and ramrod. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
