Briefly made in this cal and most to the best of our knowledge were made in the heavier barreled varmint model from 1965 approx to 1971. This is the sporter 22" Barreled version and i think is the only one we have ever had. It is in truely near new cond with only a few modest safe marks. It comes with the period corrrect Weaver (El Passo) K6. The cartridge was based on a 219 Zipper case and was designed to replace the 225 Swift which was known to wear barrels prematurely ...The 225 in lighter bullet weights attains Swift velocities in a short action without the short barrel life. (over 4000 fps with 40 gr bullets)
One source provides the 225 is the most accurate cartridge he has experieced in factory loadings.
