Description:
An early most likely first day production Serial Number 7. Civil War Era percussion revolver with 6 inch round barrel chambered in 36 caliber with a fairly good looking bore. These were one of the earliest American double action revolvers. About 23,000 were manufactured in the late 1850's and early 1860's. They were one of the sidearms issued to Union Cavalry troops and only surpassed in numbers by Colt and Remington . This percussion revolver has aged to a brown patina. Trigger and hammer work but cylinder does not advance. Wood grips are well worn and add a bit of character to this piece of American History.
