Description:
M-1 Garand barrel. 2-S-A-1-44. Very good condition. Bright excellent bore, bright smooth breech, no pitting or frosting. ME is 2. TE is just past the 4 line. Dark blackish grey Parkerizing. Not import marked. Top of barrel marked D35448-28-Y-57-B along with a partial ordnance stamp plus another letter I can’t make out.. Gas port is not chromed and not pitted however a few light dings in a couple of edges. Not sure what could have caused that. (See pics.) Some light scuffing and wear marks from being on a rifle. One area on left of barrel where barrel wrench slipped leaving a shiny area about ½” square. (see pic.) Parkerizing estimated at about 95% or better. Clearing out my barrels.
