Description:
The barrel has been shortened to 32-1/2 inches and has a very good bore. Sights are intact and a replacement cleaning rod is present. Metal surfaces are toning to a dull gray. All markings are good with the Lockplate dated 1864. Breechblock is dated 1866. Buttplate tang is stamped 151. Wood has been altered to fit the configuration of the shortened barrel and is in good overall condition. There are numerous handling dings, a repaired chip at the toe and a chip missing above the lockplate. There is a faint unreadable number stamped into the left side of the stock. Action is strong and crisp.
