NSN, made 1828, .69 caliber, 41"" round smoothbore barrel. Musket has been converted from flintlock to percussion, metal is a brown patina with pitting visible at the bolster, nipple and surrounding barrel. This is seen when the musket has been fired quite a bit. Lock is marked ""U.S./M.T.WICKHAM"", rear is marked ""PHILa/1828"" Stock shows expected nicks dings and scratches. Initials are carved on the left and right side of the butt stock. Action is strong and holds at half and full cock. More than likely used at the beginning of the Civil War. Consignment
