Description:
Serial #440178, 12 Gauge (2 3/4" Chamber), 30 inch plain barrel with a bright, excellent bore choked full. This is the Remington "The Sportsman" semi-automatic shotgun manufactured in March of 1941. The classic John Browning designed shotgun is in excellent condition retaining about 95-97% of the original blue on the barrel and receiver with only minimal handling and use marks. The checkered walnut stock and forearm are solid showing some light scratches and contusions. The original Remington butt plate has a small chip at the toe with some light scratches. Mechanically the gun functions properly with a strong recoil spring. A very nice example of this classic WWII era shotgun that with the right loads would be a pleasure to take into the duck blind or pheasant fields. FFL or C&R
