Description:
Serial #181981, .38 New Police, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1928-made revolver that has retained 97-98% of the original blue finish with only some hints of silvering at the muzzle and on the high edges, as well as a minor turn-ring on the rear of the cylinder. The hammer and trigger likewise retain a commensurate amount of their original blue, with some mild freckling on the sides of the hammer. The checkered walnut Colt medallion grips are in fine shape, with little evident wear or flattening of the points. The revolver is housed in the original numbered box that has some minor damage along the edges, but still has a predominantly intact blue and white end label. The original wax paper is still present, as is a modern reprint of the Colt Special Instructions flyer. This is an excellent DA Colt, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
