Buckle is embossed with the Heer motto “GOTT MIT UNS” surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle. Service worn, field grey painted, steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. Soldered hooking bar. The buckle is in good condition, paint is worn off the top side with balance a smooth metal patina. Good original paint remaining on the protected obverse. Buckle retains original maker’s leather tab w/ oval stamp and date “ F.W. ASSMANN & SÖHNE, LÜDENSCHEID” / 1940. Stamp is legible and leather remains supple. 1945 War trophy from Dusseldorf area courtesy of 610 Ordnance Battalion / 3160 Co .
