Ruger. (SOLD) Model Deerstalker 44 mag carbine semi auto rifle. Cal 44 Rem Mag. 18.5” barrel with an excellent bore. A close range carbine with a 4 round internal tube magazine. Manufactured in 1961, First year made with the Deerstalker name on the action. Rifle is 98% wood and metal. This is the first rifle Ruger made and the Deerstalker moniker was removed because of a lawsuit brought by Ithaca gun company. Discontinued in 1985 because of high production costs. Rifle is in excellent condition with beautiful figured Walnut stock. Rifle has an early Bisley Deluxe 3-12x40 scope mounted. Scope is in excellent condition with lens covers.
