THIS CONTENDER HAS THE “SUPER 14” BULL BARREL WITH MUZZLE BREAK. THIS SINGLE SHOT PISTOL IS BREAK ACTION AND THE BARREL CAN BE CHANGED ALLOWING FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF CALIBERS AND LENGTHS. THIS PISTOL IS SINGLE ACTION HAMMER FIRED ONLY. THIS PISTOL HAS TWO FIRING PINS. THE EXPOSED HAMMER HAS A TOGGLE SWITCH THAT GOES FROM LEFT, CENTER, AND RIGHT TO SELECT EITHER CENTERFIRE, RIMFIRE, OR SAFETY. THIS CONTENDER HAS A COUGAR ETCHED INTO BOTH SIDES OF THE FRAME. THIS FIREARM HAS A WOOD GRIP WITH A RUBBERIZED BACKSTRAP AND A WOOD FOREND. THE BUTTPLATE OF THE GRIP HAS TC EMBOSSED ON IT. THE BARREL IS ALSO DRILLED AND TAPPED FOR MOUNTING A SCOPE OR OPTIC. THE BARREL AND RECEIVER ARE BOTH BLUED IN FINISH. BASED ON SERIAL NUMBER THIS FIREARM WAS MADE IN 1994 AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE BORE IS VERY CLEAN AND THE WOOD SHOWS LITTLE TO NO SIGNS OF WEAR. THERE ARE SOME SLIGHT SIGNS OF WEAR IN THE BARREL BLUING MOST LIKELY FROM STORAGE. THIS PISTOL DOES COME WITH THE FACTORY BOX.
