Lebeau Courelly SxS in 12 Gauge. Lebeau-Courally of Liege, Belgium is a maker of finest quality bespoke guns. This is a rounded body sidelock action with case colored finish. It has 2 3/4 inch chambers. The serial number is 44463. The barrels are 27 3/4 inches with hand matted concave solid rib. Markings are "Aug. Lebeau-Courally/Arms de Grand Luxe a Liege.". Bottom of the barrels are marked "ACIER COMPRIME/DE WAHLREYNE". The action has generous coverage of scroll engraving that extends to forearm iron with borders at breech end of the barrels. The engraver's signature "R.Smeets Gra." is found on the trigger plate. The hammers and ejector hammers are gold washed. Features include double under lug and third bite locking, bushed firing pins, selective ejectors & double triggers, and the front trigger is hinged. The Splinter forearm with Anson release and straight hand stock are exhibition quality European walnut that has a burl figure with contrasting dark and orange tones. The stock and forearm have generous coverage of point pattern hand checkering. The toeline of stock has a brass nameplate. The weight is 6 lb. 13 oz. The action is tight and on face with the top lever sitting nicely right of center. 12 Gauge
