Description:
.450 caliber, 6" octagon barrel with hing up mechanism.  Six shot cylinder with push ejector system.  Double action, checkered ebony stock bag grip with lanyard ring.   Finished blue with gold line engraving and casehardened receiver.  Manufactured in 1894 by Charles Spirlet, the son of Albert as a Government Prize for the Worlds Fair in Antwerp, Belgium.  The barrel is engraved in gold " PRIX   DU GOUVERNMENT" on the top.   "AL. SPIRLET & Cie"  along the side.   Also " acier fondu" ( melted or fluid steel) is stamped  on the underside.   In beautiful original condition with a high polish blue and delicate gold line engraving.   Mechanically excellent.  Appears unused.
