Mauser-Werke 4000 carbine rifle, 222 Remington, 19 inch Krupp special Luftstahl bbarrel, Ramp front sight with gold bead insert, Island express sight with folding leaf, vacant 1. Inch scope rings are scroll engraved. Short length push feed action is fully engraved in deep relief oak leaf and acorn patterns with matted backgrounds. Deep relief foliate scrollwork extends in a 4 inch wedge over barrel breech and across entire bolt shroud. A gold inlaid wood pigeon adorns the shroud.Trigger guard is similarly engraved. Gold plated double trigger. Floorplate depicts a Roe Buck head in positive relief. Mounted in oil finished dark European Walnut with relief carved oak leaf and acorn panels at fore stock and grip area which matches actin engraving. Horn fore end cap and grip cap, European sling swivels. Monte Carlo cheekpiece. A 1 inch band of oak leaf carving highlights the butt end of the stock before terminating in a thin brown recoil pad. 6lbs 1oz. A beautiful offering made by Heym for Mauser 1969-1975.
