Scarce DWM "1920/1918" Dual Date Artillery Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, excellent original condition, all visible numbers matching gun except magazine. Very nice checkered grips, Germany stamped on pistol. Leather reproduction artillery holster with takedown tool in excellent condition. Good bore with strong rifling. Straw colors remain on extractor and trigger.
This is a all visible numbers matching DWM P08 WWI 1918 dated DWM Artillary luger that was remarked with the 1920 control number after the signing of the Versailles treaty that limited the number of arms post war Germany was allowed in military and police service. These double dated Lugers were issued to the German Police.The top of the chamber area has the 1920/1918 markings, and it has the DWM markings on the toggle assembly. It has the standard WWI Crown over a script letter proofs on the right side of the barrel extension with, and safety marked GESICHERT and GELADEN. Own a matching number piece of WWI history in great shooting condion with holster.
