"The greatest battle implement ever devised"- George Patton

Here we present a U.S. M1 Garand Rifle, manufactured circa March 1943, during World War II, at Springfield Armory in Springfield, Massachusetts. This .30-06 caliber semi-automatic rifle was that standard U.S. service rifle during World War II and the Korean War and also saw service during the Vietnam War. Most were issued to U.S. forces, though some were also provided as foreign aid to American allies. To say that it was and is highly regarded would be an understatement. In the words of General Patton, “In my opinion, the M1 rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised.”
This rifle features a Springfield Armory receiver that dates to 1943. The bolt is marked D28287-19SA/A-8. The stock has a faint circle “P” on the front pistol grip. The barrel is marked HRA D3535448 5-52 RS9 P with a flaming Ordnance bomb. The barrel is CIA import marked. The trigger guard is marked 6528290-SA. The hammer is marked C46008-5 SA. The receiver leg is marked 5 8 C with a diamond and kk along with D 28291 17. The op rod is marked 6535382 SA.

The overall condition is very good. The action is excellent. The bore is in good condition and measures .303. The stock is by and large smooth and solid. There is a short split in the receiver end of the top hand guard on the left as well as a stable split directly behind the receiver in the butt stock.
