Payment Types Accepted: Money Order, Certified Check Description: Good set of original 4 Piece Cleaning rods with brass tip for an early Winchester lever action rifle. These particular rods came out of a Model 1866 Yellowboy and you can see the marks from the dual rimfire firing pins running around the circumference of the brass tip. Winchester cleaning rods with the brass tip were used from the late Henry Rifles starting about 1864 all the way up to approximately 1892 at which time Winchester went from brass to a steel tip. These rods I would date from around 1880 to 1892. These are real ones, not repros and show a fair bit of frontier wear with the ferrules / holes slightly flared out around the edges from many years of use. No cracks. Perfect and hard to find accessory for an early Winchester Lever Action Rifles. These are from an 1866 but would be correct for any 1873 rifle in 38-40 or 44-40 with a standard 24" barrel. $20.00 shipping in lower US 48. Price: $650.00 Rifle Caliber: .44 Henry |
