Custom Mauser 98 .308 Winchester. Serial RR4316 has a 26-inch barrel (recessed crown), reshaped bolt handle, two-position safety, AAA walnut stock (ebony forend tip, skip-line panel checkering, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, glassed at lug) and a Timney trigger. Leupold mounts (contoured rear base, 1-inch medium rings) are attached. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.75 inches. CONDITION: The bore is superb, strong and bright. Metal finish is at least 95 percent and wood crowds 99 percent. The price is firm and layaway is available. $1,500 plus shipping.
