WWII Era M1911A1 - Estimated 1944 manufacturing as derived from serial number. Confirmed by parkerized finish which was standard for WWII productions. I see no arsenal rework stamps. There are all appropriate proof stamps - Ordnance department stamp and Colt Proof Stamp as well as GHD Inspection Stamp below the slide lock. The blued barrel stamping style matches those in this gun‚‚s serial # range. The slide is not serialized behind the firing pin retainer as Colt stopped serializing their slides after around #1138000. Lastly The magazine is stamped C-S. I do not know the originality of the grips.
Condition: Very Good
The parkerized finish looks great, there is no rusting or pitting anywhere on the gun. There is some wear of the finish at and around the front straps as well as that \"silver lining\" look you get on the sharp edges. The blued barrel has worn leaving a finish that resembles the parkerized finish. There are some dings and dents around the slide. The bore looks very good. It is shiny and shows defined rifling.
