Synopsis: Hafdasa, Ballester Molina, Argentine, B4689, FB00761 Description: Standard configuration Ballester-Molina made in Argentina, most earmarked for the British Military. SN: B4689. Cal: 45. ACP. Full size pistol very similar to the Star Model P with 5" barrel having slide with fixed front and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked "PISTOLA AUTOMATICA CAL. 45 FABRICADA PCR "HAFDASA"/PATENTES INTERNACIONALES "BALLESTER-MOLINA"/INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA". “17588” on left side of palm swell and repeated inside slide. Two piece walnut grips with vertical grooves. Eight shot magazine with 5 indicator holes and integral floorplate whose toe is marked with a “L”. Disassembly shows German import markings under the barrel and on left frame under the hold open. Condition: Near excellent original high polish salt blue finish. Barrel is likely a US Military replacement as is the magazine. Generally bright bore with sharp rifling but dull grooves. Perfect manual mechanics.
