On end of billy reads Federal Laboratories Saltsburg,Pa. U.S.A. And below switch on left side B2-1249,No 301BILLY. These were used pre WW ll by law inforcement,prisons,probably by some security,and even by WW ll Navy shore patrol.Besides having the billy club as defence,one had the possibilty of one tear gas use if facing a large group. It is very well made with a black colored body,flash light switch, and the firing mechanism. One had only to pull back the cocking piece once and fire by deprssing the switch. It measures 9 1/2 inches in length with a nice 11 inch black leather strap.
