Description:
This is a full box, 50 original rounds, of .44-40 black powder ammunition manufactured by The Union Metallic Cartridge Co. with 217 grain flat nose lead bullets. The buff box with green and black primary and side seal label is solid marked on the cartridge cut as "For / .44 WINCHESTER" with the bottom pink Guarantee label also calling out Colt, Marlin, Ballard, Whitney, Smith & Wesson, Bullard, Stevens, Wesson and Remington. The labels remain intact with excellent graphics showing slight rub wear and flaking. The round corner box is sturdy with a slight rim bulges that do not go all the way through. The cartridges are in very good to excellent condition with some showing some light corrosion on the heads. An excellent box to display with your early Winchester or other rifles.
