Description:
6 shot Single Action percussion revolver with 8 inch round barrel chambered in 44 caliber. The frame is marked a "Starr Patent Jan. 15. 1856." on the right side and "Starr Arms Co, New York." on the left side. Smooth metal is a gray/brown patina. Walnut grips are in good condition with a crude hole drilled in the bottom. About 23,000 of these were manufactured. A good example piece of a hard to find Civil War revolver.
