Description:
This is a unique piece. For one, it is a pre 64 Winchester model 70 in 30/06. Pretty sure it has never been fired. Stock is also engraved with deer scene. The scope is a german Pecar. Now for the interesting one of a kind part. This rifle was to be a gift to King Saud Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud form Col W.W. Wilson USAF. The King was abducated before this could be presented and later died. The Col. kept the rifle stored away until his passing a few years back. Its in very nice condition with both the european mahogony case and rifle itself inscribed. Please see the photos. I have also included a printed picture showing what both inscriptions state. The scope has some damage and think it from heat. I was told the case/rifle was stored in the attic. The one lens looks to be delaminating. It can be seen through but does have some distortion. Finish on wood looks to be slightly blistered also. Again please see photos. Metal and internals are all in great shape. Bore looks super as well. This has made a very intersting conversation piece over the past few years when I have brought it out. One thing that can be said about it is you wont find another. Its the only one.
