Features the attractive low straight comb stock (rare to find on a 50's Model 70) and the then-new factory original adjustable flip-up rear sight. Original factory hood on front bead sight. Other than some slight thinning on the metal butt plate and bolt knob, the bluing is 99%. 24" barrel with shiny bore and sharp rifling. Very low usage. Wood is in excellent condition with some nice figure. One light scratch on right side of stock as shown in picture and just a few other very faint hard-to-see handling scratches. Comes with a late-model matte Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm scope and Leupold bases that beautifully compliment the classic sleek look of "The Rifleman's Rifle". Scope height and eye relief is perfect and the rifle is extremely accurate. Original factory receiver plug screws are included. It would be extremely difficult to find a Model 70 standard grade in the legendary 270 Winchester chambering with the aforementioned features from this era as nice as this one.
