All original finishes are in excellent condition, showing very strong bluing and case colors, and nearly all of the original varnish with some expected handling marks. There are a couple of deeper mars on the left buttstock and along the edge of the barrel channel flat. The barrel is 32 5/8" with a near perfect mirror bore. Mechanical functions are crisp and excellent. This rifle has the scarcer ramrod bayonet with robust and precise locking mechanism which can also be used as a cleaning rod. It also has a trapdoor buttplate that holds a multi tool. Cartouches are all present and crisp with no loss.
