Description:
W.W. Greener 12 ga, Box Lock Ejector (BLE) Pigeon Gun.  Rib marked: "W.W. Greener 68 Haymarket London & St. Mary's Square Birmingham England, Winner at the London Gun Trials 1875, 1877, 1878, & 1879"s and pigeon in oval.  Seiral Number 45526.  Trigger guard Grade G1.  Barrels are 30" browned damascus, choked IM/IM and chambered for 2 3/4".  The are clean.  The stock is well-figured walnut, Prince of Wales grip file checkering.  Dimensions are: LOP 14 5/8"; DAC: 1 1/2" and DAH 2 1/2". Typical Greener-cross bolt and safety. Forend has Deeley & Edge forend release with horn tip.  Engraving coverage is 3/4%.  Conditon is excellent as redone.   

"232 - A 35 guinea gun self-actuating and rounded fences, scalloped back action and scroll engraving.  The gun has two unusual features; a shoulder ususally associated with the Unique ejector and a scalloped back action usually associates with 40-45 guinea models"  -- see page 118: The Greener Story by Graham Greener.
