Description:
This is a refurbished Hopkins & Allen single shot target pistol. What research I can find out is it was manufactured pre-1914. See pic of ad. Certainly had some abuse, but refinished
to a pleasing look. Some old pitting is visible on the trigger guard.
A redman barrel liner was installed so should be a good shooter if that is anyone's intention. Even so I would suggest standard velocity ammo only. I did test fire this with
standard velocity ammunition with no issues.
Serial number(1343) matches on all the parts including the grip panels. These were stripped of the old finish and resealed with True oil leaving the original color and the normal wear and tear visable.
The holster I have no history on, but is part of the sell price.
This is a nice piece of history and would make a nice addition to a collection for anyone liking this type of firearm.
