Description:
This is a rare Springfield Model 1911 issued to the US military during WWI. The internal parts are all "S" marked, but it has an intertwined "HP" Colt barrel. The original finish rates about 90%. There is wear concentrated around the muzzle and high edges of the slide. Brown patina visible under the finish throughout and some areas of light freckling here and there. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a WW2 magazine. Excellent bore with great rifling.
