Description:
Serial #S142002, .44 Special, 6 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome, five-screw frame example, made prior to 1956. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor, with the metal retaining 95-97% of the original blue finish. There is some mild silvering present at the muzzle, along a few of the high edges and projections, as well as a moderate turn-ring at the rear of the cylinder. The target hammer retains a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening, while the trigger has a period trigger shoe installed. The unnumbered, diamond-center target stocks are in excellent condition with almost no wear or flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions smoothly in both single and double-action. This is an excellent N-Frame .44 revolver made in the mid-’50s. FFL or C&R;
