Description:
An Early Civil War Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #143,920, made in 1858. All matching numbers, all original and complete. The pistol has fine metal and markings throughout. It also has fine edges, and a 5 inch barrel on it. The cylinder scene is also nice all around. The barrel has a natural plum patina with hints of blue in areas. The cylinder retains alot of its original factory blue finish on it which is fading to a plum blue color. The frame and loading lever both show lots of darkening factory case colors. All screws are fine throughout. The original factory grips are excellent plus throughout with a wonderful color and all of their factory finish still on them. This Early Colt revolver has a fine action and bore. This Is A Fine & Early Example Of A Civil War Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A 5 Inch Barrel That Would Be A Fine Addition To Any Collection. These Colt 1849 Pocket Revolvers Were Often Bought & Carried By Officers & Soldiers On Both The North & The South During The Civil War!
