A Colt Model 1862 Percussion Police Revolver Made In 1868 Period Altered To A Belly Pistol In Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #38,669 with all matching numbers, all original and complete. The pistol has very nice metal and markings throughout. It also has nice edges, and a 2 inch barrel on it that was altered during its early use and factory fitted with the sight that is on it. The revolver retains some original factory blue finish on the barrel, and case colors on the frame and hammer. The flutted cylinder has a nice even patina on it which blends nicely with the rest of the gun. All screws are fine and retain some original colors. The backstrap and trigger guard are fine plus and have a wonderful patina on them. The original factory grips are fine plus throughout with a wonderful color and factory finish still on them. It has an fine action and bore. This Is A Very Nice Example Of A Most Likely Western Used Colt Model 1862 Percussion Police Revolver With a Period Shortened Barrel That Most Likely Was Used Out West!
