Husqvarna 6.5 x 55 1941 Swedish Military
Excellent Swedish Mauser Husqvarna M38 rifle in 6.5x55mm. The rifle is in excellent condition and very clean overall. We rate around 90% as there is some mild edge wear / finish loss on the barrel. The stock has the Swedish crown stamps and the disc is intact. No notable cracks or chips in the wood. Great bore with slight graying toward the discharge. Mechanically sound.
The internal magazine can be loaded with single 6.5×55mm rounds by pushing the cartridges into the receiver top opening or via stripper clips. Each stripper clip can hold five rounds to fill the magazine and is inserted into clip guides machined into the rear receiver bridge. After loading, the empty clip is ejected when the bolt is closed.
6.5x55 Rifles is a rimless bottlenecked rifle cartridge. The 6.5x55mm cartridge, having tinier bullet diameter and lower recoil as compared to other full power service rifle cartridges, was brought into existence in the year 1891 for use in the new service rifles. Since then it has rendered itself more successful than other first generation smokeless-powder military cartridges of the same or similar caliber. The popular cartridge is an esteemed choice for hunting and sporting use. It is also known as 6.5×55mm Swedish Mauser and 6.5×55mm Mauser.
