Description:
This is an RFI, rifle factory Ishapore produced No.1 Mk III Bayonet without a fuller and with a false edge. The factory edged 12" blade is in excellent condition with heavy bluing on the ricasso and mostly worn on the rest of the blade. Marked 2 44 with all other marking correct. The handle tang and pommel show use with no cracks or chips. Light oxidation near the guard on the spine. This has a British proofed scabbard, with the round lug, dated 1941 with normal wear and scuffs, tight stitching, light surface oxidation in excellent field condition. Also has British frog.
