Description:
Serial #124930, 12 Gauge (2 ¾" chamber), 30 inch solid rib barrels with bright, near excellent bores showing small isolated pinprick pitting in each tube just forward of the breech choked full and full. This is a VH grade Parker shotgun manufactured in 1904. The capped pistol grip shotgun remains in very good condition, solid with Vulcan steel barrels that ring true retaining perhaps 70-75% original blue finish toning from plum-brown to silver grey especially toward the breech and at the muzzle with scattered freckling and light use marks. The frame is in white with some areas of roughness clearly marked "Parker Bros" on either side. The original walnut stock and forearm are solid, with most of the checkering worn smooth with mile old scratches and contusions. The Parker Brothers hard rubber butt plate is slightly ill fitting and not original to the gun. The barrels are slightly off face with a tight lock up having the lever resting in the center. The LOP is 14 ¼" with drops of 2" a the comb and 3" at the heel. A solid Parker VH that would be a pleasure to take hunting and would make a great candidate for restoration. FFL or C&R
