Description:
Guns Listing ID: 1229027

The Model 1912 (shortened to Model 12 in 1919) was the next step from the Winchester Model 1897 hammer-fired shotgun, which in turn had evolved from the earlier Winchester Model 1893 shotgun. With forged and machined steel parts, the ultimate reason for discontinuation of the Model 12 in 1964 was that it was simply too expensive to produce at a competitive price. When the money talks, the people listen. The primary competition at this time came from the much less expensive Remington Model 870, which had been introduced in 1950.

This example is a 12 gauge made in 1956. It has a 30” Full choked solid-rib barrel that is chambered for 3\" shells. This example doesn‚‚t appear to have seen much use and even has a Winchester hang-tag.

Up for sale is a used Winchester Model 12 Shotgun (12 GA). This item has a 30” round barrel, The bore shows distinct shotgun and is dark to the naked eye, inspection with a bore scope shows it is very clean. The blueing on the barrel shows light scratches and some wear. The blueing on the stock show and lever shows some very light scratches and a little bit of wear. This item stock shows dings and scratches in the wood, but no visible cracks are present. It is in very good condition
