WINCHESTER MODEL 70 bolt action pre-64 in .30-06 Springfield, made in 1954 with serial number 312908, open sights with hood, the barrel is 24" and the bore is bright and glossy, LOP of 13 1/2", extra nice checkered walnut stock with pistol grip, factory butt plate and brilliant factory original bluing. Overall condition: excellent! In it's 70 year life, this rifle has never had a scope mounted on it so there are no scratches on the receiver. The .30-06 is the standard by which every other U. S. cartridge is judged and remains the most popular caliber in the inventory in the United States. This rifle comes with a Montana 1 1/4" bridle leather sling that is quickly adjusted without any tools or noise PLUS a very nice soft zipper carry case.
