"W. Moore & Co. English 12 Bore side by side double shotgun. W. Moore & Co are listed as being at 43 Old Bond St. from 1854-1872. This is a side lever opener and is a bar action sidelock shotgun. The barrels are 32" length, rib marked “London Fine Twist". The frame has scalloped shoulders with rebounding pins. The action works perfectly. L.O.P. is 14" over an elaborate butt plate. The side plates have excellent vivid case colors. Bores are very good with some very light scattered pitting. Barrels are brown with excellent Damascus twist pattern. Barrels have London proofs. Barrel ribs are excellent with no repairs or looseness. Forend and butt stock checkering are very good. Stock shows no chips or cracks. Butt stock has very minor handling wear. Action locks up tight with no hinge pin play. Overall, this is a handsome shotgun by a well-known and respected maker. (DALLAS LOCATION)
