Description:
ORIGINAL MAGNUM MAUSER BOLT. Interesting Magnum Mauser bolt body, correct length firing pin and spring with non matching shroud with shroud lock and spring. THIS BOLT HEAD IS FOR A RIMMED CARTRIDGE. Some where over the years the correct matching extractor was lost. I do not know what cartridge this would have been for. This bolt WILL NOT take a standard 98 extractor. The dimensions at the head are different from face to groove.
Why they did this I do not know .
Cutting off the original head in the extractor groove and welding on a new std. 98 Mauser head is not a huge chore but it must be done accurately and safely and re- heat treat is required.
